Look at the back of your digital piano, or portable keyboard. You can see the MIDI terminals shown in the photo. By using a MIDI to USB cable, you can connect your musical instrument to your PC and enjoy a variety of MIDI applications.
To connect, connect the MIDI IN terminal of the cable to the MIDI OUT terminal of the musical instrument, and the MIDI OUT terminal of the cable to the MIDI IN terminal.
Here are some USB to MIDI cables. As of 2021, some of these cables are no longer available because it has been a long time since I first wrote this article three years ago. I think the demand for such cables has already decreased.
